This next face's detail is much easier to see when the
ad is right in front of you life-size. But here's what the ad looks
like. The face is on the middle bottle, just at the 'corner' where
the straight side starts to slope in to join the neck.
Of course it's too small to really see in that picture.
The face is looking left and is bearded. The important part is that
none of the other bottles have anything in them like that, so it
can't just be a reflection.
So what, you say? Faces are very important in alcohol
ads, especially. They're always subtle and always distorted, as if
they are part of a hallucination. They are always in the drink
itself. Often they contain a suggestion of death.
